Client FAQs

Question 1

Do you work exclusively with data and AI consultancies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We made a deliberate decision to focus entirely on the consultancy market. It means we know the landscape, the culture, and the talent pool in a way that generalist recruiters simply cannot match.

Question 2

What types of roles do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We cover two specialist disciplines: technical roles (data engineering, analytics engineering, data architecture, AI and ML engineering) and go-to-market roles (sales, pre-sales, alliances, and partnerships).

Question 3

Can you help with contract as well as permanent hires?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We place both contract and permanent professionals. Contract placements are particularly common for project-based data platform work.

Question 4

How long does a typical search take?

Accepted Answer

For most roles we aim to have a considered shortlist in front of you within two weeks of taking a detailed brief.

Question 5

Do you require exclusivity?

Accepted Answer

We don't insist on exclusivity for every search, but we do ask for an honest conversation about how the role is being run.

Question 6

How do your fees work?

Accepted Answer

We work on a retained or contingency basis depending on the nature and seniority of the search. We'll be clear about our fee structure before we start.

Question 7

What makes DBG different from other recruiters?

Accepted Answer

We only work in one market. Every candidate we introduce has been assessed against the specific demands of consultancy life — client-facing delivery, billable work, and the pace that comes with it.
